Leda Tsoutreli, born in 2002 in Athens, Greece, is a contemporary painter based in New York City. Her work embodies oil colour paintings that trap her body’s fleeting movements in an effort to understand the abundance of space confined in the two-dimensionality of the canvas. By pushing the boundaries of mark-making, she probes into animalistic and childlike instincts and allegorically reshapes the idea of the religious pasture. She explains this metaphor with paint being food and herself being sheep. Her practice becomes a nourishing exercise where she feeds on the layers of paint and finds herself wandering around the infinite pasture the canvas has turned to be.

She received her BA in Art Direction from Kingston School of Art, London, 2023, and her MFA in Fine Arts,  Painting, from Pratt Institute, 2025. She has been featured in a few group shows in New York as well as publications in London.
